August Alsina sent a dose of “love and light” to his friend, Toya Wright, in wake of the tragic murder of her brothers, Rudy and Josh Johnson, over the weekend.
“I’m so sorry Toya,” Alsina wrote on Instagram Monday (Aug. 1) next to a photo with Wright. “I know your pain too many times over. ?Sending so much light & love your way. Forever praying for my city, OUR city, New Orleans.”
Alsina can unfortunately relate to the Wright’s grief, having lost his own brother, Melvin La’Branch III, to gun violence in 2010.
Wright’s beloved brothers were found shot to death inside a vehicle in New Orleans early Sunday (July 31) morning. The Marriage Bootcamp star confirmed the unthinkable incident with serval Instagram posts dedicated to her slain siblings.
Wright’s estranged husband, Mickey “Memphitz” Wright sent his condolences as we’ll. “Sleep in Peace to My Brothers in Law,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m Lost & Deeply Saddened. My Sincerest Condolences to The Family & Associated Loved Ones. The Love Was & is still Real.”
Police are still investigating the double murder.
